Key Functions/Responsibilities
<p> </p><ul><li>To prepare bidding documents for Goods and Works in accordance with the approved procurement plan for review by the Procurement Committee,</li><li>To maintain procurements records in order to enhance accountability,</li><li>To prepare periodic and ad-hoc’ procurement and supplies reports to facilitate decision making and enhance accountability,</li><li>To update and maintain Supplier profile and registration,</li><li>To prepare evaluation reports and procurement committee papers for the review of the NHIMA Procurement Committee,</li><li>To undertake market research to ensure purchases are sourced from the most competitive source,</li><li>To prepare and drafts contracts for consulting services and non-consulting services for onwards clearance by the legal department, </li><li>To ensure that all procurement records including NHIMA supplier database, NHIMA Contract Register and NHIMA Procurement Register are properly kept and up to date,</li><li>To administer tender closing and opening and prepare tender opening reports, </li><li>Ensure timely matching and verification of supplier and service provider’s invoices for onward transmission to Finance and Investments Department</li></ul>
Education and Experience
<p>Grade twelve (12) School certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels with credit or better including Mathematics and English Language. </p><p>Bachelor of Science in Purchasing and Supply or its equivalent with a valid practicing license and; </p><p>Demonstrable experience in procurement with at least 3 years in a procurement field. </p>

<p>Must have high levels of integrity and ethics, </p><p>Must have strong analytical and processing skills, </p><p>Must be detail-oriented and a highly organized self-starter, </p><p>Must be an effective communicator, </p><p>Proficiency in office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and many other relevant applications, </p><p>Honest and reliable with high moral strength, </p><p>Must be Innovative and proactive, </p><p>Must have a high degree of attention to detail, </p><p>Tact and diplomacy; and </p><p>Must be conversant with the use of the electronic government procurement eGP system. </p>
