Key Functions/Responsibilities
<p>The role will be responsible for carrying out human resource operations of the National Health Insurance Project (NHI-P) within the Human Resource & Administration Department.</p><p><strong>Key Functions/Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>The key functions of the role will include but not limited to;</strong></p><p><strong>Human Resources</strong></p><ul><li>Participating in the recruitment activities as required,</li><li>Coordinating all on boarding and staff orientation programs,</li><li>Responsible for timely roll out of probation assessments, annual appraisals and processing these for follow up action,</li><li>Coordinating all training and other performance interventions activities and logistics ,</li><li>Responsible for all exiting and departure employees’ processes and controls,</li><li>Assist in coordinating staff development and training programs,</li><li>Providing support in drafting HR correspondence,</li><li>Processing payroll and collaborating with Finance Manager for final payments,</li><li>Processing statutory obligations such as NAPSA, NHIS, Workers’ WCFCB </li><li>Maintaining employee benefits, employment status and similar records that support the basis on which decisions are made,</li><li>Processing of employee disciplinary and grievance matters,</li><li>Processing of documentation and preparing scheduled and ad-hoc reports related to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc, and</li><li>To perform other tasks related to the role as may be delegated from time to time.</li></ul><p>Administration:</p><ul><li>Oversee that all assets of the Project are managed in the asset register</li><li>Manage office supplies for the project </li><li>Help manage the office fleet in relation to fuel ,vehicle maintenance ,compliance </li><li>Manage training both internal and external </li><li>Track Human Resources and administration budgets </li><li>Manage office events both onsite and offsite </li></ul>
Education and Experience
<ul><li>‘Grade twelve (12) School certificate or its equivalent with 5 merits which should include English Language and Mathematics;</li><li>Minimum of a Diploma in Human Resource Management or any related field with five (5) years of working experience in a similar role; or a Degree in Human Resource Management or any related field with at least three (3) year of working experience in a similar role; and</li><li>Preferably experienced working in a Project Closeout environment </li><li>A Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.</li></ul>
Attributes and skills
<ul><li>Must have good oral and writing skills;</li><li>Must be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars;</li><li>Must have general knowledge of the Zambia employment laws and practices;</li><li>Possess skills in database management and record keeping;</li><li>Must have good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.</li><li>Must multitask and understand the best practises in Human Resource and Administration</li><li>A self starter with advanced multi tasking skills</li></ul>
